Screen shots of Jifprint. When you start the program no pictures are loaded, but you can still see the effects of the screen orientation and number of pictures. The program assumes an aspect ratio of 4:3 when you start, but this would change as soon as you load real pictures.
Press one of the buttons on the right to load selected files, or a complete folder: you can even have files of different shapes and sizes loaded:
As soon as you define the printer the program the program knows the actual size of the margins, so any changes you make are refelected in exactly how your printout will look. If the vertical and horizontal borders look uneven then that's right because in these pictures it's the height of the pictures which limit the layout and that results in larger gaps between the pictures horizontally.

The exif information is defined on a separate screen. You can have one or two lines with different fonts on each line and use whatever information you decide and see a simulation of the choices you have made:
